What is an expert network?

One of the deliverables of the EUPHIX project is the creation of the expert network that would contribute information and expertise to the EUPHIX system, and provide feedback on its content and user-friendliness. The deliverable includes identifying meritable national and EU-level experts, institutions, networks, projects and stakeholder organisations, as well as provision of sustainable procedures for obtaining and regularly updating the content.

How is the expert network functioning at this stage of the project?

The EUPHIX team has established a standard procedure for choosing, contacting and working with relevant experts as EUPHIX authors and peer reviewers. For the current 1.4 EUPHIX website release with limited accessibility, several experts have delivered their contribution as peer reviewers in a semi-open review procedure, so that their names are displayed in the articles they reviewed. From March 2007, first external experts started contributing new EUphacts to the system.
